A real estate agent is a REALTORŪ when he or she becomes a member of the REALTORŪ Association. REALTORŪ Membership is available to Indiana licensed real estate brokers and salespersons, as well as licensed or certified appraisers.
The term REALTORŪ is a trademarked term denoting membership in the National Association of REALTORSŪ and who subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics

Your first step is to take a pre-licensing course. For course dates and times, go to RECP.org

How is an Indiana Real Estate Sales License obtained? To obtain a sales license, one must:
|

|
|
Be at least 18 years of age. |
|
|
Have 54 hours of real estate pre-license sales education, and pass the course exam with a passing grade of 75% or better. |
|
|
Successfully pass the state licensing exam. |
|
The course exam is currently comprised of 130 multiple choice questions divided into two sections. Each section of the course exam must be passed independently before applying for a license. The course exam is prepared, administered, and scored by a professional third-party testing service under contract with the state. Once you have your license, you will interview with Principal Brokers of companies for a position. At that point, you would join the REALTORŪ family at the REALTORSŪ Association of Central Indiana. Click Here for an application. You will need to contact Pam Markiewicz for current fees.
