RACI History
The REALTORS® Association of Central Indiana (RACI) received their charter on January 20, 1920 from the National Association of REALTORS®. In 1991, the name was changed to RACI from the KOKOMO AREA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® to better reflect the Association’s jurisdiction of Howard and Tipton County. In 2008, four other Associations merged with RACI to become a larger Association. Today, the Association includes Cass, Grant, Howard, Miami, Tipton and Wabash counties.

REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC)
RPAC represents over 400,000 politically active REALTORS® that members of Congress want as their friends. Most people contribute because they believe in the cause for which RPAC was established: to help elect candidates at the federal, state and local levels who are supportive of the free enterprise system and private property rights. A ninety-nine dollar contribution to RPAC breaks down to about a quarter a day. Rather than focusing on the money, focus on the opportunity you are taking to take a pro-active role in the industry. On the national level, we give our money to those in Congress who both understand and support REALTOR® issues. We look to build the future by putting RPAC dollars in places that will help advance the interests of Real Estate professionals. RPAC is the only political group in the country organized for REALTORS®, run by REALTORS® and exists solely to further issues important to REALTORS®. Think of your RPAC contribution as an investment. The best investment you'll ever make in your business and yourself. RPAC is your best insurance against poorly designed small business and commercial real estate legislation. If you're not giving your fair share to RPAC, you're not doing all you can to better your profession, your business, and yourself. RPAC is nonpartisan in its selection of candidates. The voting record and views on the issues that affect REALTORS®, in addition to the recommendations of Local Boards and State Associations, are the deciding factors on who we support. Only 30% of your contribution goes to support candidates at the National Level. The other 70% stays in the state for use in supporting candidates here at home. By contributing to RPAC, you can help support candidates at all levels of government.
